When booking a headshot session you’re bound to have questions about what to wear, when you get your images etc… Below are some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about headshot sessions.

 

What should I wear?

Wear something that you are comfortable in, that fits your profession and personality. Avoid busy patterns and clothes you’ve never worn before (i.e “new clothes”).

You can expect to receive an email after booking your headshot session with more details on what to wear, a few tips and how to prepare for your session.

 

Where does the session take place?

Individual headshots are done at The Mill, Gabre’s home studio. Team and corporate sessions are done at your office; Gabre brings the headshot studio to you.

 

Should I book a Make-Up Artist?

It’s highly recommended. Don’t worry about who to call. When you book your headshot session you will be emailed the contact details for a few Make-up Artists that would be ideal for your session.

Even if you don’t wear make-up every day give them a call and have a consult, they may be able to recommend products that you can use to make your skin look great in front of the camera.

 

Will my headshot be retouched?

Absolutely, all headshots get a little TLC; where minor blemishes on skin, clothes and the background are removed. At least one retouched photo comes with each package.

 

What are background colour options?

Your headshot can be photographed on a white or black background. All headshots on a white background will have a clipping path embedded in the file, this is like perforation which can be used in Adobe Photoshop to remove the white background and replace it with whatever colour you desire (simply ask your Graphic Designer to do this).

 

How soon can I see my headshot?

Instantly! You can see your headshot in real-time on-site using a display larger than the one on the back of the camera a few seconds after the shutter button is released.

This gives you the opportunity to make adjustments to anything that may be out of place. You can also rate and select your favourite photos.

You’ll also get an email with a link to the gallery of proofs 2-3 business days after the session for you to finalize your selections.

 

Can I purchase additional headshots?

Certainly! In addition to whatever package you select you can purchase additional headshots after you’ve received the link to your gallery with the proofs. The cost of the additional photo varies with the package you select.
